The Sertoma Club of Lancaster is proud to donate more than 80% of its profit from the Annual Chicken BBQ to the beautification, upkeep and improvement of Long's Park. To date, we have donated well over $1.5 million to the park and helped make it possible to:
- Build playground and jungle gyms
- Provide a playground for blind and handicapped children
- Create ultimate Kid's Place Playground
- Maintain pond, amphitheater, lawns and trees
- Build and renovate restrooms
- Care for animals in petting zoo
In addition to maintaining and improving Long's Park, the Lancaster Sertoma Club supports the following events with monies earned from our Annual Chicken BBQ:
- Kids Kamp summer camp and year long programs for at risk youth
- Naturalization Day Dinners for new American citizens twice a year
- Christmas party for County hospital patients
- Speech and hearing projects
- Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Lancaster Sertoma Club also helps the Long's Park Amphitheater Foundation at its Long's Park Art & Craft Festival to raise money for amphitheater entertainment.
