The Sertoma Club of Lancaster is proud to donate more than 80%
of its
profit from the Annual Chicken BBQ to the beautification, upkeep and improvement of
Long's Park. Last year we donated over $100,000 to the park and helped
make it possible to:
| Build playground and jungle gyms |
| Provide a playground for blind and handicapped children |
| Create ultimate Kid's Place Playground |
| Maintain pond, amphitheater, lawns and trees |
| Build and renovate restrooms |
| Care for animals in petting zoo |
|
In addition to maintaining and improving Long's Park, the Lancaster Sertoma Club
supports the following events with monies earned from our Annual Chicken BBQ:
| Naturalization Day Dinners for new American citizens twice a year |
| Christmas party for County hospital patients |
| Speech and hearing projects |
| Salvation Army Bell Ringing |
| Kids Kamp summer camp and year long programs for at risk youth |
Lancaster Sertoma Club also helps the Long's Park Amphitheater Foundation at
its Long's Park Art & Craft Festival to raise money for amphitheater
entertainment.
